St Augustine’s San Remo

St Augustine’s San Remo is over 100 years old and situated by the sea.

Congregation attendances range between 18 – 35 swelling to 80+ on Easter Day and Christmas Eve

We have a caring congregation and several ongoing activities that most members participate in. Once a month we hold a “Cuppa & Chat” which is like a mini market. the church furniture is stacked up, tables set up and all the goods for sale are set out. we have cakes, jams, pickles and garden produce for sale. We also serve morning teas. The proceeds of this goes towards our Parish, Missions and Maintenance. This activity has been going almost 12 years.

A monthly Soup & Sandwich lunchis held for people who live on their own. This has only been going a few months and we are planning to extend it this year to lonely couples. Our helpers have lunch with our clients and we enjoy the fellowship as much as they do.

We are hoping to build a room at the rear of the church so that we can have it for our “Cuppa & Chat” so that it can be left set up all the time and we can have it open 2-3 days a week.

We don’t have a great many children in our congregation, but treasure the ones we do have and have activities for them to do.
